SWPW ~ BEWARE OF SEDUCING SPIRITS

Our apostle Paul warned us that men will rise up speaking perverse (misleading) things, to draw away the disciples after themselves ... Acts 20:30

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, & doctrines of devils; 1 Timothy 4:1

We should not give our undivided attention to anyone outside of the Lord first, nor hold people to high in admiration, especially in the body of Christ. When our eyes are easily reverted onto people & ministries, we are a prime target for seducing spirits.

Watch out for seducers! For they do not come in a bad way that makes us cringe or shock us, they come doing good & speaking in righteousness & in the Word & are oh so easy to turn our attention toward. They win many people over first, in what appears as the truth & are convincing in their walk & talk. But, after winning over so many, the demons start hitting hard time & in full force. See, first they seduce, & then they hit with the doctrines of demons. A little here & a little there & soon many are lead captive, many who have itchy ears & wandering hearts soon are overtaken & lulled into the gray haze of deception.

The Holy Spirit is the only 'wake up' Advocate for the Body of Christ. He will send out 'Alerts' & 'Alarms'. He will cause questions in our hearts to pop up & He will surface wrong words & bad fruit. As we pay attention to the Holy Spirit, we become wise as serpents & harmless as doves & learn to discern the Who's who list! We find ourselves desiring more of the Holy Spirit & the cleansing power of the Blood of Christ to keep us from defilements, known & unknown.

By growing in discernment, we come to recognize & expose such demonic tactics also. Demons operate in different ways in different circumstances, perpetrating error & defiling many to take more & more advantage of as many as possible.

As the born again redeemed remnant of the Lord, full of the Holy Spirit & full of His power ... an alarm should go off in our spirit when the enemy is working in our vicinity & close at hand. We need to be able to recognize the enemy as the deceiving force & a seducing spirit. Whether that enemy is being used from a three piece designer suit or a ragged t-shirt wonder; OR in the latest female fashions of oh, so righteous to the street glad rags of femininity. We have to discern with the Holy Spirit what spirit is in control & what we are hearing. The sooner the better.

The Word tells us to 'test the spirits' to see if they are of God. The Holy Spirit will assist you, if you ask & listen & stay in a now mode of perseverance & attention. You will be exercising spiritual muscles ... you may have thought you'd never exercise & be surprised at the results of the spiritual 'freedom' it brings!

PRAYER

Father God:

Giving thanks that You are Light & in You is no darkness at all. Thru Jesus Christ, You have translated me into Your Kingdom & transformed my mind thru Your Word, the living word Jesus Christ & I am so thankful.

I pray & ask that You shine Your light in me & reveal all the beliefs & thoughts which I have taken in ... as if from You, but in reality are not of You & have caused room for the enemy to deceive me.

I truly want to believe what is your truth, from You alone & nothing from the enemies kingdom. Just as You asked the church at Laodicea to anoint their eyes with eye salve that they may see, so I ask that you anoint my eyes that I may see. Help me to see the enemies deceptions before they are able to approach me or seduce me. Keep me from the seducing spirit & the doctrines of demons in Jesus Christ name I pray.

I thank you & rely upon the work of Your Holy Spirit with me, to guide me into all truth, as He relates what is His purpose & His desires to be accomplished in my life. I pray & ask for greater discernment & ask for the gift of discernment to be stirred & ask for courage to unlearn wrong things received ... as well as prevent ... any new things which attempt to make a home in me that is not born of your spirit. Help me to recognize any fresh work of the enemy which attempts to divert me from Your ways & from fulfilling Your Word.

Thank you Father God that You give wisdom freely to those who ask & I ask again today & do receive by faith. Thank you for Your unconditional love & for Your Holy Spirit.
